Howdy. My name is David Wen and I'm a UX leader and practitioner currently based in Houston, TX who leads the UX research and design of software and apps to solve a variety of user problems ranging from military use to commercial aviation to healthcare to enterprise cloud computing.

Inspiration

The tech community is full of helpful resources and I particularly enjoy these: Stack Overflow, Smashing Magazine, UX Stack Exchange, Baymard Institute, UX Booth, Little Big Details, Sketchplantations, Mozilla Developer Network, ng-newsletter, Sitepoint, Jakob Nielsen, CSS-Tricks, Quora and A List Apart.

I'm also a fan of these books: The Cathedral Within: Transforming Your Life by Giving Something Back by Bill Shore, The Humane Interface by Jef Raskin, Don’t Make Me Think by Steve Krug, The Elements of User Experience by Jesse James Garrett and others.
